Every year, the week before Christmas vacation, the preschool classes at the Children's Village put on a Christmas Program. The Jesus Home for La Gonave is home to 82 children. About 60 of these children attend the primary school on campus. Another 140 students from the community who are unable to afford school also attend at the village. Last week, parents were invited to come see their child perform in their program. Each year, Tonton Noel (Santa) visits and gives gifts to each of the children. The parents are also treated to lunch before the day is over. This is a fun Christmas tradition that the teachers and children look forward to each year!
